Posted on Herve DanzelaudVerified RWANDA - Land of thousand hills - STUNNING, Safe, great holiday! We had the most memorable, perfect trip to Rwanda. it's an absolutely stunning country from North to South and East to West. It's super clean and the country has excellent road system. We felt very safe throughout our trip. We were a family of four with two young adult sons - and did gorilla trek, chimpanzee trek, colobus monkey trek and also big five safari. there were other fun things built in including boating to an island village and ziplining on the longest zipline in East Africa. We could not have done it without the incredible help of Gloria and the JimJam Safaris & tours team - and Allanie - our guide and driver. We had a cram-packed itinerary that went flawlessly from planning to our arrival and pick up at the airport to our drop off and flight home. Gloria and team were incredibly responsive day and night to every question we had about our trip, from how to tip to the safety situation of the country, to drive times and more! They are an outstanding team, whom we highly recommend. We were able to meet Gloria in person at pickup and she's a delight as she is in email! We were so grateful to have a perfect guide in Allanie - because he was with us the entire time. He helped answer questions about the culture, food and animals, and was always willing to stop for photos or bathroom stops (!). He was pure joy to be with during our time there. We highly recommend using JimJam Safaris & Tours in Africa - they cover more countries than Rwanda so don't hesitate to reach out to them.Posted on Geneva SVerified Amazing experience with JimJam! Incredible experience with JimJam safaris- highly recommend. From planning the trip to the actual execution, they were fantastic to work with. We only had a short time we could spend on safari and our driver, Godwin, went above and beyond to show us all the animals close up. It was our first safari trip, and felt like it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The service across the trip was top notch and excellent communication. Would do another trip with them in a second.Posted on PatVerified Fantastic experience I just returned from an incredible trip through Rwanda and Uganda, including both chimpanzee and gorilla trekking, and JimJam made the entire journey absolutely seamless. Everything from permits to transfers was perfectly organized, and I never had to worry about logistics — it all just worked. The team was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely cared about making the experience special. The guide Jeff was not only professional but also warm, helpful, and always one step ahead. The itinerary was great, the accommodations well chosen, and every detail was handled smoothly.I highly recommend JimJam to anyone planning a wildlife adventure in East Africa!Posted on James jVerified One of Life’s Best Experiences We chose this company because of their quick response which was much appreciated! Everything was so easy - they met us at the airport and we never had to worry about food, transport or anything else as they had it all arranged. Our guide, Allanie, was terrific - he was always smiling and was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. Anything we needed, he did his very best to made happen. He is also great at making sure to stop at appropriate times along the drives to not make them too grueling. Thank you for taking such great care of us!! We did Volcanoes National Park for the gorillas and golden monkeys which were some of the best experiences of our lives, Nyungwe National Park for the chimpanzees and colobus monkeys, and Akagera National Park for lions, hippos, zebras, giraffes, and many more wonderful animals. I will suggest that you be in good physical shape for the gorillas and especially the chimpanzees - it is a difficult hike up and down mountains with loose dirt and some bushwhacking. Also, if you are interested in a night safari be sure to request this beforehand (for Akagera National Park) as it was too late to do so where we got there. The only suggestion I would have for the company is to consider upgrading their vehicle - the seats are very comfortable but the air conditioning was not cold enough. Most of the time this was not a problem but going through Kigali got hot and breathing in the exhaust fumes can be a trying experience. Otherwise, a perfect experience with a wonderful guide and a fantastic company to work with!Posted on Dr tusharVerified Gorilla trek A different experience Must recommended Weather and place and the gorilla trek was amazing People are so nice here Safe placePosted on Sujay SVerified Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest from Kigali Right from the outset, communication with Gloria over whatsapp was prompt and accurate. The actual trip was executed as promised with Godwin, who was a very good driver. The gorilla trekking was everything we had hoped for, an amazing once in a lifetime experience. Jim Jam safari people are thorough professionals.Posted on Andrew KVerified Memorable Experience My wife and I were somewhat short on time in Kigali and did a one day trek to Volcanoes National Park. We absolutely loved the trek! And it couldn’t have gone much smoother. Gloria coordinated the trek and was super responsive. And our driver Fred was so friendly, and made sure we were able to get back to Kigali with plenty of time to catch our same-day flight. Definitely an experience we will not forget…Posted on kavishamathisVerified Amazing!!!! We had an absolutely incredible gorilla trekking experience—from booking all the way through the actual trek! Gloria was a true delight to work with. She stayed in close contact with us through WhatsApp, which made it so easy to ask questions and quickly resolve any issues with dates or payments. She was always attentive, responsive, and thoughtful—even reaching out when we landed in Rwanda to personally arrange a meeting with our driver. Our driver met with us the night before the trek to share valuable tips and answer our remaining questions, which felt like such a personalized touch. On the 2.5-hour drive from our hotel, he went above and beyond to keep us comfortable, allowing us to stop and stretch while also giving us a fascinating history lesson and patiently answering our many questions. When we arrived at the starting point, he stayed by our side to make sure we had everything we needed—coffee, gloves, raincoats, shoe covers, and more. He even made time for photo stops along the way, which we really appreciated. As for the trek itself—it was absolutely unforgettable! While parts of the climb were challenging, it was completely worth it. We chose to use porters, which I highly recommend—they were a tremendous help and truly deserve generous tips. The highlight, of course, was being so close to the gorillas that I could hear a baby softly whimpering. It was an experience unlike any other, and one I’ll cherish forever.I would book with this company again in a heartbeat and will encourage anyone visiting Rwanda to do the same. They turned a once-in-a-lifetime experience into something even more magical!Posted on Simon DVerified Trek to the golden monkeys. Great experience. We stay about 1 hour with a family of golden monkeys. You can see them feeding. Sometimes he walks right past us, jumps from bamboo to bamboo, climbs trees....Posted on Negin NVerified Budget travel to Masai Mara and Nakuro I took the budget option for 3 nights in Masai Mara and Nakuru and was quite happy with the experience. One thing that was very good, as a solo female traveller, is that they send someone to find me in the beginning and connect me with the tour and also the same person was waiting for me at the end to wrap up the trip. Just be mindful that they likely combine people from different tours so sometimes there are delays in pickup or transfer, but thats part of the process (and the budget package)
